Dry bean lines and check cultivars in the long season (Manitoba) wide row and narrow row cooperative registration trials will be grown in the disease nursery to assess field resistance to white mould. White mould incidence and severity index will be determined for each genotype as a mean of 6 replications. Data, in part, will be used by breeders and/or institutions to decide whether to request support for registration of a bean line. Disease resistance data will be used by breeders to identify white mould resistant lines for use as parents in the hybridization program.
